Vicki the manager knew how to make you feel welcome. Milk in fridge and fresh home baking on table. Each day Vicki brought fresh baking still warm from the oven. Even though building dated it was clean and lovely sheet quality. Having our room opening straight on to the poolside was another bonus. I highly recommend this
Our football team has used the Raceway Hotel as our base for the New Zealand Masters for the last few years. Recently Vicky has taken over and her care and attention are already shining through. Its clean, comfortable, good value and Vicky is a great host who goes the extra mile to make sure all her guests have a good stay
This is the second time we have stayed with Vicky. 7 months later and the service was still exactly the same, home baking etc A + all the way. Highly recommend this Motel, you can't go wrong. We are from Wanganui, and just needed some time out from family and friends. It was great just to be able to chill and walk into town, and along the river.
Vicky was so welcoming and kind, fresh home baking in the room on arrival. During the weekends she bakes fresh muffins and brings them to your room in the morning and also She invited me for dinner one night. Cooking facilities are available from reception. The pool is nice and relaxing after a hard days work and is also facing west so you can watch the sunset from the pool area and there is a bbq which you can use. Would definitely stay here again.
Clean comfortable and affordable place to stay. Central to city center. Booked for a night and ended staying for 2 nights. Host greeted us like long lose friends very welcoming place to stay. Room overlooking the pool (to cold to use) Free wifi with great reception. Offered cake on arrival and when we advised that i was gluten free she made a gluten free one for me. What a lovey gesture shows she cares about her guests
The motel is clean, warm and comfortable and the swimming pool just outside our door was a great bonus. Vicki and Jay were so helpful from the outset and this personal touch is the important aspect of any stay in a motel. We are from Scotland and it made for a relaxed and enjoyable stay They are genuinely interested in people.. Vicki and Jay also helped me track down distant relatives and I greatly appreciated this extra help.
ICPP footy team stayed at the Raceway Motel Feb 17 for Whanganui Masters. Vicki was a marvelous host , warm, friendly and flexible. The weather was excellent & we made great use of the pool. Overall, perfect accomodation for a sporting team on tour. We'll be back.
The Manager, Vicki was very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and clean. Very quiet but within walking distance to city centre. Would highly recommend this motel. We received fresh home make muffins at the weekend which was a lovely surprise. Very close to the race track.
Room was great, pool right outside sliding door. All amenities were great couldn't fault anything. Great host who went out of her way to make you feel welcome and even brought me a lovely cinnamon muffin in the morning. Will definitely stay again. Thank you Raceway Motel :)
